AdPR Executive Advisory Board Welcomes New Members, Jeff Baker and Eugenio Mendez

AdPR is honored to welcome the following new members to our Executive Advisory Council. The Council is a diverse group of leading communications professionals committed to supporting the vision of the Department of Advertising & Public Relations, and assist the department with activities that align with the most current industry drivers in both the commercial and public sectors worldwide.  We are incredibly grateful for the time and talent these professionals pour into the department of Advertising and Public Relations each year.

Jeff Baker, Arbys

Jeff Baker is the Vice President of Brand Advertising and Content at Arby’s Restaurant Group. Jeff oversees strategy and execution of Arby’s national advertising including creative development and content across broadcast, digital, mobile, social, and in-restaurant channels. Jeff was a leader in the We Have The Meats brand repositioning that helped lead to all time high sales.

Prior to joining Arby’s, Jeff was Vice President, Account Director at 22squared, leading advertising efforts for brands such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Baskin-Robbins, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Russell Athletic, Southeast Toyota, and Dunkin’ Donuts.

Jeff holds a Bachelor degree in Marketing from The University of Georgia and an MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University. Jeff lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

Eugenio Mendez, The Coca-Cola Company

Eugenio Mendez is Global Category VP – Water, Enhanced Water and Sports Drinks at The Coca-Cola Company.

Eugenio joined Coca-Cola in 1993 in the Mexico Business Unit and held several positions from Operations Manager to Marketing Director of Coca-Cola brand. In 2004 he moves to Atlanta to join the global marketing team responsible for the development and launch of packaging innovation such as Aluminum Bottle, the global expansion of Coca-Cola Zero and the evolution of Fanta and Sprite global brand propositions.

In 2009, he moves to London to join Bacardi Global Brands as Global VP Marketing for Rums, responsible for the Bacardi brand portfolio strategy and innovation pipeline. During this period, Bacardi introduces a new spice rum, a range of premium rums in specialty channels and ready to drink cocktails in China and India.

In 2013 Eugenio returns to Coca-Cola as VP Marketing for Coca-Cola Trademark where he led the expansion of Share a Coke outside Australia, the development of the CC Masterbrand approach piloted in GB, Chile, Spain and Russia, the implementation of CC100 year of contour program and the launch of CCLife.

In 2015 he becomes responsible for running the office of the President of Coca-Cola International who oversees operations in 205 markets and represents more than 70% of the Company’s annual revenues and between 2016 and 2017 he leads the Marketing function for LatinAmerica Group.

Eugenio holds a Bachelor degree in Science – Industrial Engineering and an MBA from the Institute of Technology in Monterrey, Mexico. He also volunteers at Enlance, a non-profit in Mexico, that serves children with muscular dystrophy and he has an advisory role in the Board of Directors for Stanley Brothers LTD based in Boulder, CO.
