Brooke Malasek and Kayla Nichols are this year’s AdPR Department Interns. They’ve been behind the scenes on social media and AdPRide Week.

Brooke Malasek, senior PR major

Outside of class

Brooke is from Peachtree City, Georgia, and she loves to fly! She is currently taking flight lessons towards earning her Private Pilot License, and she soloed for the first time just over a year ago. She also enjoys playing IM sports, such as soccer and volleyball.

At UGA

Brooke is a senior Public Relations Major with a Communication Studies Minor. She is on the executive board of the UGA Aviation Club as their Public Relations and Communications Officer.

Career Goals

After her internship last summer with ABM Industries as their Aviation Marketing and Sales Support Intern, she would love to go into marketing full time. She would also love to work for an aviation-related company, as she has always been interested in this subject. Her dream job is to one day be working for Delta in their marketing or communications department.

Kayla Nichols, junior PR major

Outside of class

Kayla is from Fayetteville, Georgia. Find her at the closest art museum or at the Ramsey Student Center where she works as a lifeguard manager and is involved in Swim Club. She is helping plan the Georgia Economic Outlook as a Terry Student Worker.

At UGA

Kayla is a junior Public Relations Major and Communication Studies and Art History Minor. She also is working on two certificates, public affairs and new media. On campus, she is the Publicity Committee Head for PRSSA.

Career Goals

After studying Art History in Italy and traveling through other European countries to visit art museums, Kayla’s dream job is to one day become the PR Director for an art museum.
