AdPR Students Represent Grady Undergraduate Research at 2018 CURO Symposium

From social media satisfaction and digital design to the intricacies of picking a major, undergraduate students in Grady’s AdPR department shed light on the importance of research in the communications field at this year’s Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) Symposium.

For the Symposium, students had the choice of either presenting a poster or conducting an oral discussion concerning research topics of their own design. Intended to highlight exceptional undergraduate research across campus, this year’s event comprised of more than 575 undergraduates coming from 103 different majors, 14 different schools and 78 different departments at UGA. This is a big accomplishment for not only students, but for faculty advisors as well, so congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding experience!

The CURO Symposium was held on Monday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 10, 2018, and the AdPR students in attendance included AdPR intern Olivia Tompkins, Caroline Tompkins, Lyndsey Jackson, Emma Protis, Emily Starling, Hannah Weeg, Mary O’Brien, Jillian Jones and Reilly Megee. Of the 14 Grady participants, 9 were from the AdPR department.
