Please join us in welcoming Joe Watson, the inaugural Carolyn Caudell Tieger Professor in Public Affairs Communications. Joe will supervise our new certificate program in Public Affairs Communications, and we could not have placed this important program in better hands.
Joe joins us from Exelon Corporation in Chicago, where for many years he served in a variety of roles as a public affairs advocate in regulated industries, including energy and telecommunications. He represented one of the nation’s largest energy companies in its work with third parties, trade associations, regulators and key stakeholders to advance its priorities. He also worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce, and before that, as a legislative director and as council to U.S. Senator Peter G. Fitzgerald.
Joe joins us with his wife Rachel and son Benjamin.
